Common questions
Will I be prescribed a GLP-1 medication?
Not automatically. GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide are one option when clinically appropriate. Your plan depends on your evaluation and health history.
What is the difference between the Weight visit and the Weight & Hormone visit?
The Weight visit focuses on weight loss and metabolic health. The Weight & Hormone visit is a broader consultation for patients who also have hormone-related symptoms, and may include hormone replacement therapy recommendations.
Can I be seen by telehealth?
Yes, if you are physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of your visit. Weight visits are offered both in the office and by telehealth.
How often are follow-up visits?
Follow-up visits let Shea monitor your progress and adjust your plan. How often you need them depends on your treatment plan.
This page is general information, not medical advice. Treatment depends on an individual evaluation; no specific prescription or result is guaranteed. For an emergency, call 911.
